HEAT PUMP RANGE

A heat pump is a smart, energy efficient alternative for areas where a traditional solar water heater may not be suitable, such as an application with a shaded south facing roof. Installation is quick and easy. The heat pump water heater can usually be installed in the same location as an outdoor electric water heater and connected up to the existing plumbing and electrical connections, making it a great replacement for an existing water heater.

SEE HOW MUCH MONEY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SAVED BY USING ENERGY EFFICIENT PRODUCTS

Jackie is one of our happy customers who heard about Solahart Newcastle from her neighbour. She had observed that not only her neighbour but almost everyone that lived around her had solar and after talking to several people in the area she realised that everyone she spoke to had used Solahart Newcastle so this was a great recommendation for her.

Michael’s energy bills are around $800-$900 in Spring and in Summer they are around $1,400. After having Solahart Newcastle install solar panels at his property, Michael expects to receive a bill with zero balance with part of their gas bill paid off due to the arrangement that’s been set up with their provider where any surplus from the electricity will pay off the gas.

Rod had solar panels installed to help with he cost of his heater pump for his pool along with saving money on his electricity bill. After the first quarter Rod didn’t have to pay anything on his bill and received money back from AGL.

Nathan no longer wanted to pay large energy bills and was really impressed that the Solahart Panels were slick and blended straight into his roof. Nathan calculated that he would pay off the cost of his solar panels in two to four years with the savings from his current bills.

HOW DOES A HEAT PUMP WORK?

A heat pump is a versatile and efficient device that transfers heat from one place to another. It uses a compressor and a circulating structure of liquid or gas refrigerant, whereby heat is extracted from the outside air and pumped indoors or vice versa. Heat pumps can be used for both heating and cooling purposes, making them a practical option for maintaining a comfortable indoor environment in various climates.

WHY USE A HEAT PUMP?

Heat pumps are highly efficient in converting energy into heat or cooling. They transfer heat rather than generate it, which often results in significant energy savings.
The operational costs of heat pumps are generally lower than traditional heating and cooling systems. They can provide an effective means to reduce monthly energy bills. By reducing the dependency on fossil fuels, heat pumps contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions.

They are an eco-friendly option for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint. Some modern heat pumps provide not just space heating and cooling but also hot water solutions. This multi-functionality can be a significant advantage for homeowners.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HEAT PUMPS

A heat pump is a device that transfers heat from one place to another using mechanical energy or electricity. It’s an efficient system for heating and cooling and is especially popular in regions with milder winters. Heat pumps can extract heat energy from the air, ground, or water and are known for their efficiency because they move heat rather than generate it.

Heating Mode:
Extraction of Heat: In the heating mode, a heat pump extracts heat from a low-temperature source like outdoor air, ground, or water. Even in cold weather, there is still heat present in the air or ground that can be extracted.

Compression: The extracted heat is then boosted in temperature through a compressor. The compressor compresses the refrigerant gas, raising its temperature.

Heat Transfer: This high-temperature gas is then circulated into the heat exchanger where the heat is transferred to the air or water used to heat the home or building.

Distribution: The heated air or water is then circulated throughout the property, providing warmth. The refrigerant, now cooled, returns to a liquid state and is sent back to begin the process again.

Reversing Valve: A special component called a reversing valve allows the heat pump to work in reverse during warmer months, providing cooling.

Cooling Mode:
Absorption of Heat: In the cooling mode, the process is essentially reversed. The heat pump absorbs heat from the indoor air.

Heat Expulsion: The absorbed heat is then expelled outside, leaving the indoor air cooler.

Refrigeration Cycle: This is achieved through the refrigeration cycle, where the refrigerant absorbs indoor heat as it evaporates and releases it outside as it condenses.

Cooling: The cooled air is then distributed throughout the building, providing a comfortable indoor temperature.
