The BYD Battery Box Low Voltage (LV) is a 48V lithium-ion battery that charges using electricity generated either from your solar panels or from the grid. This power is then used to power your home in the evening, when the sun is not shining or when power rates are at peak levels.

The BYD Battery-Box LV is modular and scalable in design, providing flexibility and ease of installation to make it suitable for a wide range of applications. With stackability of 1 to 4 B-PLUS L 3.5 modules, this battery is capable of delivering between 3.5 and 14.0 kWh of usable energy.
It is even possible to connect up to 3 x Battery-Box LV in parallel, to deliver a maximum of 42.0 kWh to achieve off-grid power source goals. Such a modular battery system allows for excellent design flexibility, ensuring you have the most appropriate system for your household.
The BYD solar battery uses Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry, generally considered one of the safest lithium battery technologies in use. This also enables property owners to add battery storage in stages if required. Each LV B-Box cabinet can hold up to 4 battery modules, and up to 8 cabinets (each with 4 modules) can be connected in parallel.
The continuous power B-Boxes can supply is equal to their nominal storage capacity, and their peak power is also excellent – a BYD battery can theoretically give twice its continuous output for 30 seconds (though this capacity is limited by the inverter the battery is linked to).
Due to these characteristics, BYD battery storage is ideal as an alternative off-grid battery where surging loads are used. They can be integrated to be used with our range of inverters for a reliable and efficient source of power

All three battery storage solutions are a great option to store your solar energy for us at night. The BYD Battery is a modular battery that allows you to scale multiple battery boxes to increase storage capacity, allowing you to expand your system as your needs change over time. You can connect up to 3 Battery-Box LV in parallel to deliver up to 42.0kWh. The Tesla Powerwall 2 is a fully-integrated AC battery system designed for increased self consumption, load shifting and backup power, with up to 13.5kWh of usable energy. Alternatively, the LG Chem RESU 10H is a compact, wall mounted home battery with 8.8kWh of usable energy.
A BYD Battery-Box can be integrated into compatible systems, such as an existing solar system with a GoodWe SBP inverter.
(1) A minimum amount of usable energy is reserved for safe system operation (15% for Battery-Box L 3.5 and 10% for Battery-Box L 7.0 and above).
(2) Subject to inverter capability.
(3) Test Conditions: 100% DOD, 0.2C charge and discharge at +25°C. System usable energy may vary with different inverter brands.
(4) For temperatures between -10°C and +12°C there will be derating.
