I found Solahart Newcastle provided a great service, it took a bit longer for the install to happen then i was told by the rep, nearly 12 weeks instead of 8 but they gave me a free upgrade on my battery for the inconvenience so I was very happy with that. The install guys were great, very helpful, efficient and left the site very clean after they were finished. The admin people were very friendly and helpful with my enquiries. Would definitely reccomend this company to anyone wanting solar installed.

Very easy process to go thought. Originally Nathan gave us a quote for our solar system and hot water system including govt rebates. After having that for around 12 months a simple text to Nathan to ask for a quote for a battery system and I had a quote and questions answered without issues. Installed a 10kwh battery to my 7kwh solahart panels. Installation went smoothly. App now includes battery information. 10kwh won’t be enough to survive off the grid, but will save us money. We chose to include our air~con circuit on the battery backup as we don’t have many blackouts where we live… and when we do, power is usually back on within a couple of hours. Battery is usually full by 10am (in Nov on sunny days in Newcastle) and discharges overnight to the 10% minimum. So I can calculate that our savings at present are around 9kwhs per day + a little extra saving when the battery contributes to our power usage during the day when our usage exceeds the power delivered by the panels.

Wow, can’t wait to get my next electricity bill. Never thought I’d say that. My son had Solahart panels & battery installed about 3 weeks ago. Could not be happier! Especially when you get a $650 electricity bill. I had my installed last week, solar panels & battery in Newcastle. Could not be happier. The guys were very friendly Jack was so nice!! Went out of the way so that I couldn’t see cables at the front of my house. Love the panels, nice & dark & slim line. The Tesla battery is also very nice. lol but oh it does look nice even though it’s a battery. Also the app, wow! love it as well. Can see how much charge your getting from solar to battery to home. The two installers arrived on time, and were pleasant and approachable. After assessing the situation, they determined the best way to get the equipment on to the roof. Solahart offered the best out-of-pocket pricing for our modest needs by far (5kw on-grid solar). After the inverter in our existing solar system died, it took 9 months (and two big bills) to notice due to having no easy way to monitor the status of the system. Turns out that due to compatibility issues, all of the panels needed to be replaced also. The original installer has long gone so there is no redress for only lasting 8 years. Still saved money but not nearly as much as projected based on promises. Thus we decided to go with a company that has been around since before anyone was putting PV panels on house rooves. I have since heard another good credible report of the integrity and reliability of Solahart. Installation was easy and fast. It’s been 3 months now and so far so good, I can check the status and performance of the system on my phone whenever I like. I feel very confident to recommend Solahart to friends and family.

NSW Solar Rebates 2025: Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Incentives

This incentive is provided by the NSW Government. The offer commenced on 1 November 2024, and changed on 1 July 2025. The incentive is proportional to the usable capacity of the battery in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Larger batteries will receive a larger incentive. Your system must remain connected and active in the program to receive full benefits. To qualify for these incentives, you must: – Have an existing solar system or be purchasing rooftop solar. – Purchase a new battery. – Use a certified installer, such as Solahart. – Meet the requirements for eligible batteries.
