The new battery incentives from the NSW Government are available now.
The new home battery incentive program is offering significant savings for residents and businesses.
Eligible participants can receive between $1,600 and $2,400 off the upfront installation cost of a household battery for homes and businesses with existing solar systems. Additionally, there’s an extra incentive of $250 to $400 for connecting a battery to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP), which can be claimed a second time after three years.
Homes and businesses with rooftop solar will soon benefit from the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) incentives, promoting the installation of residential battery storage. These incentives will help maximise the use of solar energy and significantly reduce electricity bills.
Adding solar battery storage to your solar power system allows you to store your unused energy so you can use it when you need it (at night, on low-sunlight days, when utility rates are more expensive or during blackouts).
